A number of organized weekly group rides based out of Salmon Arm welcome mountain bikers of all ages, stripes, and colours. All rides run through Spring, Summer and early Fall, weather permitting.

Ladies Night: Monday evenings.  Meet at Skookum Cycle & Ski, 141 Shuswap St. NW, 5:30pm for a beginner to intermediate-level, ladies-only ride on local trails and occasional shuttles to other area trails.  This is a fun, inclusive and supportive group of riders out to enjoy the great trails the Shuswap offers.  Most weeks, depending on number of riders, the group will split between beginners and more advanced riders with ability and ambition-appropriate route selection.  This is a peer group ride with no official leader(s)

Junior Group Ride:  Tuesday evenings, 5:30pm, meeting at one of the local trailheads.  This is a guided/coached ride with Sprockids-certified leaders designed to develop young riders aged 7+.  Parental participation is young rider ability-dependent.  Call Skookum Cycle and Ski at 250 832 7368 or email:  events@skookumcycle.com to get more information regarding policies, waivers, fees and to get on the weekly email list to be notified of each week’s ride plan and location.

Pedal ‘n’ Pint:  Wednesday evenings.  Meet at Skookum Cycle & Ski, 141 Shuswap St. NW, 6:00pm for an intermediate to advanced-level, open ride on local cross-country, all-mountain and freeride trails.  Ride typically pedals right from the shop and finishes at the Barley Station Brew Pub, with occasional shuttles to other more distant local trails.  Come prepared to ride for 2 to 4 hours, depending on weather, trail selection, daylight and energy-level of group.  With large groups, there is usually a Pedal ‘n’ Pint Lite option with slightly less ambitious routes and pace.  This is a peer group ride with no official leader(s).

Starting in 2017, participation in these rides will require either, an annual membership in the Shuswap Cycling Club, or a nominal per ride fee payment to the Shuswap Cycling Club for trail maintenance and development.

For more information, drop by Skookum Cycle and Ski at 141 Shuswap St. NW, downtown Salmon Arm, or contact Skookum at 250 832 7368, email: events@skookumcycle.com
