Stick flick season starts on the trails

Category: Volunteer Day
The sun is shining and the snow is receding which means only one thing: stick flick season begins out on Shuswap Trails.
Along with organizing formal spring trail clean-up volunteer bees, we encourage folks to get out on trails throughout the Shuswap to just enjoy the walk - but carry a stick and flick off debris on the trails.
If you find something big (like trees down, or water erosion) use the firstname.lastname@example.org hotline to report the issue (remember to include location details, and a photo if you have your phone handy - you can simply email the photo straight from your phone once you take it.)
And if you're interested in helping out with something big, give us a call directly (250-832-0102) and we'll hook you up with the local trail stewardship group for that trail - or - if there isn't a group, we'll help get the permission for you to help out. Plus watch for upcoming trail stewardship days and events and training.
In the meantime, get out on those trails and get flicking. It all helps!
