HELP! S.O.P. (Save Our Plants)! Watering and Weeding Bee, this Saturday, August 12, anytime between 8 am - 12 pm - Help! It is a critical time for the survival of the 3000+ native plants planted this spring by children and community volunteers to create diverse habitat for wildlife during the SABNES HCTF Hummock project along the foreshore trail in Salmon Arm. They are doing remarkably well given the flooding and drought they have endured thus far, but they need YOUR help to make it through the summer and really get established. Please bring: your favourite weeding tool, a water bucket, a smaller 1 or 2L container for watering, gloves, drinking water, and a snack. You should wear: a hat, long pants, sturdy closed toe footwear, sunscreen, and sunglasses. SEE YOU THERE! For more information call Kim Fulton at 250-309-6535.
