Hannah has always had a connection to nature and a passion for outdoor activities. She grew up in Salmon Arm, exploring the Shuswap with her family through hiking, skiing, fishing, canoeing, rock climbing, and camping. As an adult, she's still finding new ways to get outside and enjoy nature, including learning to forage, getting into birding, and, most recently, mountain biking.
After completing her B.Sc. in the spring of 2022, Hannah joined the summer field crew to spend some time working on the trails. When the field season ended, she stayed on full-time with the STA and has been part of the team ever since. Hannah now plans projects, manages maintenance contracts, oversees field crews, and organizes volunteer Trail Days. Although she's taken on more management responsibilities, you can still find her out on the trails regularly—usually with a chainsaw slung over her shoulder—helping keep the trails safe and accessible.
