Members translate into metres!
Through thoughtful collaboration, we develop, operate, maintain, and promote non-motorized trails throughout the Shuswap. Our membership is the heartbeat of this mission, providing the resources and community support necessary to care for these trails for generations to come.
Join more than 300 individuals and outdoor groups who love well-designed, signed, maintained and promoted trails. We have 2 classes of Memberships:
- Individual Memberships: $20 each.
- Business/Non-Profit Memberships: $50 each.
Equitable Participation: We believe the trails are for everyone. If these rates are a barrier to joining, we invite community members to reach out to our administration. Accommodations can be made privately, as we want to ensure our membership remains inclusive of all neighbors.

Membership Philosophy & Values
Membership in the Shuswap Trail Alliance is more than a fee; it is an alignment with our core guiding principles. By joining, members pledge to uphold these values:
- Proactive Collaboration: Supporting the diverse partnerships between First Nations, local governments, and community groups that make our trails possible.
- Cultural Respect: Recognizing that the Shuswap Trail network is located within Secwepemcúl'ecw. We honor Secwépemc leadership, stories, and the inherent responsibility to the land. We support walking together in a way that respects Indigenous knowledge and decision-making.
- Community Building: Acting with kindness, safety, and inclusivity to ensure trails remain a welcoming place for all cultures and ages.
- Care for the Land: Accepting the responsibility to "take care" of the land; protecting biodiversity, treading lightly, and leaving the trails better than we found them.
