 WARNINGS: Be well prepared, as this is remote backcountry with grizzly habitat.

Trail Description:

Views, alpine meadows, wildflowers, birds, animals.

First few kms is reasonably maintaned quad trail climbing steadily through thick brush that thins out as you get higher.  Subalpine meadow start at 4.5km from trailhead.  Grizzly cabin is 6.5km from trailhead.

Access:

Traveling west on the Trans Canada Hwy, turn left at Squilax onto Squilax-Angelmont Rd and proceed 45km to St. Ives. Proceed 4km on the Forest Service Rd. then turn left onto different Forest Service. Travel 15.8km to a junction in the road and park.  Look for quad trail marked with orange flagging headed up the mountain.  This is the trail start.
