About

Views of Shuswap Lake, Reinecker Creek, Margaret Falls, forest, and mosses.

The lower trails loop along Shuswap Lake in the park past the day-use picnic area, up through the campground along the creek, and across the road to Margaret Falls. Lower trails are wheelchair accessible and appropriate for all ages.

The 500 m (one-way) Margaret Falls trail goes over bridges and through a magical old growth forest in the moss-covered Reinecker Creek canyon to a viewing platform of Margaret Falls.

The 2.8 km (one-way) Upper Canyon loop is a doubletrack through cedar-hemlock forest on the west side, crosses Reinecker Creek on a bridge at the top (where the Reinecker Creek trail system connects), then turns to singletrack and traverses down the dryer slopes on the east trail, with views over the canyon and Shuswap Lake. The east side is hiking only due to the erosion prone steep, loose hillside, so use the west side for biking access to Reinecker Creek trail system. Walk the road or lower trails to make a loop.
