Congratulations to Salmon Arm Bike for Your Life Century Ride: Support for Second Harvest Food Bank

Congratulations to Salmon Arm Bike for Your Life Century Ride: Support for Second Harvest Food Bank

Congratulations to the Salmon Arm Bike-for-Your-Life Century Ride: Support for Second Harvest Food Bank. On a beautiful mid-September morning over 400 Cyclists rode in the 2012 Salmon Arm Bike for Your Life Century Ride. The event host committee decided at this past Wednesday night’s meeting to contribute $4500 to Salmon Arm’s Second Harvest Food Bank. Committee members are very happy about this and have sent their gratitude to everyone who supported the event! The funds will be used to purchase milk, eggs, veggies and wieners to supplement other donated food items for the Second Harvest Food Bank’s average of 225 patrons per week in 2012 (up from 130 patrons per week in 2007). $4500 is enough to cover a little more than one month’s expenses for the Food Bank.

Next years ride: On-Line Registration for the Saturday, September 14, 2013 SABFYLC Ride starts in early June, 2013. Registrations will again be reserved for 100 local (School District #83) cyclists.
