Gardom Lake TrailsSalmon Arm & Area
Trail Description:A lovely place to picnic and swim. Interpretive trail has old growth trees, wildflowers, bird viewing, and painted turtles. There are trails on the two islands in the lake, along the shoreline, and across the road from the park. Birding Hot Spot - Bald Eagles, Common Loons, Painted Turtles and Red-necked Grebes. Access:East of Salmon Arm on Hwy 1, turn south on Hwy 97B and drive approx. 15.8 km to Gardom Lake Rd, and then turn right. Travel 3.5 km and turn left onto Park Rd. Proceed 0.7 km to the park entrance and parking area on the left. Additional parking for launching canoes and kayaks can be found by driving a little further south on Park Rd. and turning east on Musgrave Rd. to the CSRD Parks hand launch site.
