Grand Opening of Corb’s Trail!

Please join us on Saturday, October 17, from 11:00 AM–1:00 PM to celebrate the completion and opening of Corbs’ Trail in memory of Mark Corbett.

This trail has been a true community effort, made possible through the support of Mark’s family, friends, the BC Wildfire Service Rapattack crews, the Shuswap Trail Alliance, Shuswap Cycling Club, Shuswap Summer Gear Swap, local businesses, donors, volunteers, and many others who contributed their time and resources.

We’d love to have the community come out and enjoy the trail together.

The plan:

  •  Ride the trail and get in a few laps
  •  Hike the trail and check it out on foot
  •  Enjoy a BBQ
  •  Check out the new trailhead kiosk and memorial
  •  Meet some of the people who helped bring the project together

The event will be informal and family-friendly, so come out for as much or as little of the afternoon as you like. Bring your bike, hiking shoes, and an appetite!

Getting to the event:

Corbs’ Trail is located at the top of the South Canoe trail network. A large group of riders will be departing from the South Canoe parking lot at 10:15 AM and riding up to the trail.

If biking isn’t your thing, feel free to hike up and join us at the top. If you’d like to attend but are unable to hike or bike up, reach out and we’ll arrange transportation.

The BBQ and gathering will take place at the top of Corbs’ Trail, where it meets Metford Road. To help with food prep, please register using this link: Corbs' Trail BBQ Registration – Fill out form

We look forward to seeing you there and celebrating Mark’s memory and the incredible community effort that brought Corbs’ Trail to life.
